The gigantic Kuelap Fortress is located in the district of Tingo, province of Luya, department of Amazonas, in a height of 3.000 meters over the sea level; in the top of a high rocky eminence of a branch of the central mountains of Peru. LEYMEBAMBA MUSEUM: Located 10 minutes from Leymebamba in the way to Celendín. It keeps more than 2000 objects and around 200 mummies brought from the mausoleums of the Lagoon of the Condors.
